STEP 1 Introduction | Hello, my name is Kathy Hart-Wood. Today, I'm going to talk to you about the stance. This is one of the fundamentals of the golf swing. It helps to create the foundation for an athletic pivot and helps you maintain good balance throughout your swing.
|
STEP 2 Find your posture | You want to stand nice and tall with the weight up on the balls of your feet. Bend from your hips keeping your back straight, so that your arms can hang straight down underneath your shoulders. Add a little bit of knee flex, maintaining the weight on the centre of your feet.
| STEP 3 The shoulders | If you're right handed, your right hand is lower on the club than your left. That means your right shoulder needs to be lower than your left shoulder.
| STEP 4 Wrapping up | So remember those points. You'll have more powerful shots. You'll have lower scores. So, you'll be hitting it good and you'll be looking good.
