STEP 1 Introduction | Hi, my name is Kingsley Long. Here are some useful tips on how to hit the driver long and straight. Good driving is a combination of distance and accuracy. It is key to any good round of golf.
|
STEP 2 Ball position | When using your driver, position the ball just inside your left heel.
| STEP 3 The back swing | When making a back swing, make sure you make a full 90 degree shoulder turn, transferring your weight to the right-hand side.
| STEP 4 The down swing | On the down swing, we transfer our weight back to the left and extend down through the target line, finishing up on our right toe. And remember when you are addressing the ball, try to keep your hands and body as relaxed as possible.
| STEP 5 Wrapping up | The driver can be one to the hardest clubs in the bag to hit. But, get it right and it will really drive your game forward.
